Shoplifting robbery turns into food fight inside San Francisco Walgreens

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A shoplifting incident turned into a food fight inside a Walgreens in San Francisco’s Richmond District.

Video of the brazen shoplifting shows the alleged thief behind the counter at the Outer Richmond Walgreens store in the area of 42nd and Geary, filling his bag with stolen loot. Then on the way out, the suspect can be seen knocking a cellphone out of a customer’s hand, before the two men go at it.

“What, you want to go?” the thief says before throwing a banana at the customer.

The customer retaliates by throwing more bananas at the thief, hitting him in the back.

The suspect, who had been walking out of the store, then grabs a pack of Chips Ahoy cookies, and hurls them right back at the customer before leaving.

A woman inside the San Francisco Walgreens who also witnessed the food fight, appeared to be calling police to report the assault, according to the video. Although, no one arrived in time and the shoplifter remains at large at this time.
