“Peruvian singer Levin Druel Márquez , known artistically as Levindru , was shot dead in his own home on February 15. His tragic end was recorded on the building’s security cameras, where the gunman can be seen approaching the fence and opening fire on the young man .
The gunshot wounds were fatal for the singer, who tried to defend himself with his own firearm after being knocked to the ground. In a desperate attempt to save his life, the artist took refuge under one of his motorcycles and tried to repel the attack. However, the attacker hid behind the black gate of the house and fled seconds after shooting.
The singer was known for composing hip-hop music focused on themes of ambition, money and fame. His latest release, titled ” Empistolao ,” has more than 40,000 views on YouTube . Following his murder, family and friends have expressed their grief through social media, demanding justice and the capture of the person responsible, who has not yet been identified by the Peruvian National Police.
The singer’s official accounts have confirmed his death and have released the video of the exact moment he lost his life. In addition, they have continued to promote his music with phrases alluding to his tragic departure, such as: “Risking everything in the underworld, a warrior and crawling wounded, but pulling the trigger,” in reference to his final fight to survive after being shot.
Before his death, Levindru had expressed his concern on social media that he was in danger. In one of his Instagram posts, he wrote: “I sometimes smell the sweet scent of death. Life is contradictory and in spades.” His words have taken on a sombre meaning following the violent attack that ended his life.”
