Swiss couple killed after Ferrari crashes into Lamborghini during Italian supercar tour

A Swiss couple was killed during an Italian supercar tour when their Ferrari struck a Lamborghini and then crashed into a camper van — sending the camper flying into the air, police said.

A driver in South Sardinia took video footage as several supercars were driving down State Road 195 on Monday, with Lamborghinis and Ferraris overtaking him as he marveled at the luxury vehicles.

As the supercars proceed to overtake a white camper on the road, a red Ferrari can be seen speeding up from behind and approaching a blue Lamborghini just as it is about to pass the van.

The two supercars then collide, with the Lamborghini tossed to the right, smacking the corner of the camper’s underside with such force that the van’s rear flies up, and the vehicle is left balancing on a single front tire.

The camper quickly lands perpendicular to the road, with the momentum causing it to jump back up into the air and fall on its side.

Police identified the deceased as Swiss tourists Melissa, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67, who had rented the Ferrari.

The occupants of the camper only suffered minor injuries, and the two occupants in the trashed Lamborghini miraculously made it out unharmed.
