On May 28, 2025, 19-year-old Serbian model and influencer Tijana Radonjic tragically died while parasailing in Budva, Montenegro.
Radonjic, who was reportedly participating in a promotional video for a local tourist agency, appeared calm and cheerful before the flight.
However, during the ascent, she began to panic, frantically unbuckling her safety harness and removing her life jacket.
Witnesses heard her screaming “Put me down!” moments before she fell approximately 160 feet into the Adriatic Sea. Despite immediate rescue efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The parasailing company owner, Mirko Krdzic, expressed shock over the incident, noting that Radonjic had undergone pre-flight training and showed no signs of fear prior to the activity.
While some reports suggest she may have suffered a panic attack, her family disputes claims that she intentionally caused her death and has called for a thorough investigation.
Authorities are currently examining the equipment and awaiting autopsy results to determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
