Teenager stabbed, student in custody following fight at West Potomac High school: raw video

Raw video shows the moment a 16-year-old boy was stabbed by another student during a fight Wednesday at West Potomac High School in Belle Haven.

Graphic videos and images showed students fighting in a hallway, with one photo capturing a teen lying on the floor bleeding as others — both students and adults stood nearby.

The injured student was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but is now in stable condition, according to police.

Authorities have identified a 15-year-old suspect, who will be charged with malicious wounding.

Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said investigators were questioning a third student involved in the fight.

“A third person who we are questioning, we are not describing him as a person in custody because, at the moment, we don’t anticipate any criminal charges on this third person,” Davis said.

West Potomac High School described the situation as isolated and assured that there is no ongoing threat to students or staff.

Following the incident, a large police presence, along with an ambulance, was seen outside the school.
