Trapezist falls from 9 meter height during circus performance in China

A trapezist fell from a 9 meter height during a circus performance in China, according to new video and reports.

“In the video you can see how the Chilean trapeze artist, Jorge Alarcón, fell from approximately nine meters high while performing one of his acts in a popular circus in China.

Jorge Alarcón  is the name of the Chilean trapeze artist who suffered a serious accident in the middle of a show held in a circus in China.

This is a man who – without thinking too much about it – moved from Talca to join the ranks of the  Happy Circus,  in the city of Shilin, China, for one year.

Unfortunately, on August 12, while flying through the air in the middle of his show, the Chilean suffered a serious accident due to the fall of one of the stage platforms.

As can be seen in videos that have gone viral on social networks, in one of the parts of the act the Chilean trapeze artist  fell after landing on the platform  located nine meters high in this circus in China.

One of the cast members held on to a rope, it gave way and the other two fell on the protective mesh,  while Alarcón fell crashingly to the ground.

After this, it was detailed that the artist was transferred to an emergency hospital, where he was hospitalized for eight days after it was confirmed that he had three cuts on his head and a knee injury.

“After 8 days in the hospital, the Chinese doctors sent me home to rest for three weeks,” he commented.

“I asked what I should do, but they only told me to rest so that the inflammation would go away,” Alarcón added.

“At the end of the second week my left knee was completely deflated, I was happy, I had no pain and I was walking much better,” said the trapeze artist.

In the third week the owner of the circus asked him about his recovery, and they took him to the hospital for an examination.

“They did a scan and that showed that the posterior cruciate ligament had severe damage. In China, the doctors told me that with three months of rest I would be recovered, but they did not give me any treatment to continue my recovery,  nothing,” said the trapeze artist.

Since his recovery was going to be long,  they sent him back to Chile with everything he was wearing and paid him for the months he worked,  plus the eight days he was hospitalized.”
