TEXAS – A man and a woman died of gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a Popeyes restaurant in Eagle Pass on Wednesday night, according to video and reports.
Initial investigations indicate that this was a murder-suicide.
The events occurred minutes after 8 p.m., it seemed like a quiet night, when suddenly shots were heard.
Witnesses said the victims were left face up and their bloody bodies were covered with a sheet.
The area was cordoned off by police.
All indications are that the man shot the woman and then took his own life.
A witness said the deceased appeared to be in their 30s.
Detectives are trying to determine how these tragic events occurred. The names of the victims have not been released.
The type of relationship between the two and what caused the fatal outcome is currently unknown.
