MALDEN, Mass. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify two men accused of stealing a $25,000 Rolex watch from Peroni’s Jewelry.
According to Malden Police, the theft happened Monday around 4:45 p.m. when two men walked into the shop. Surveillance video shows one suspect distracting the employee while the other slips the Rolex out of its box and into his pocket. The empty box was then placed back into a bag to conceal the theft.
Investigators say the suspects fled on foot down Eastern Avenue toward Hillside Avenue before getting into a vehicle and driving away.
Police are urging anyone with security camera footage from the area at that time to contact Malden Police. The investigation is ongoing.
