VIETNAM — A man walking in Hanoi had one of his legs slashed and cut clean off by an unknown suspect armed with a knife in broad daylight Friday.
The victim was walking along a street in Thuong Tin District’s Hong Van Commune at around 5pm local time when another man, covered from top to bottom, ran up from behind and slashed the victim’s right leg clean off with a knife.
Local authorities believe the incident to be an “act of revenge” as the victim himself was involved in the criminal world, working with gambling rings in Hanoi.
The suspect remains at large at this time.
