VIDEO: 1-year-old girl shot during gunfight in Philadelphia deli
PHILADELPHIA — A 1-year-old girl was injured by gunfire during the drive-by shoot-up of a deli in West Philly on Saturday, reports said.
The surveillance video, obtained by ABC affiliate WPVI-TV, shows the hail of gunfire from both inside and outside the store at the corner of 50th Street and Haverford Avenue.
Police said a white Jeep pulled up to the intersection and one of the vehicle’s occupants began shooting at the bodega.
The baby was shot once in the left leg and was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition.
A 26-year-old man and another male inside the store returned fire at the vehicle.
The 26-year-old man was shot in the arm and is said in stable condition. Police believe he was the intended target and is currently in custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
