At approximately 9pm, a CTA bus driver was hospitalized after two people beat him in the Loop. The 49-year-old driver was inspecting the bus after hearing a loud noise in the 100 block of North Michigan Avenue when he was pushed and repeatedly punched by an unknown male and female, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment for bruises to his face and body.

Later during the night, a 15-year-old boy was shot shortly after 11:00pm as officers contained a large group of youth in the 200 block of North Wabash Avenue. No one was arrested for the shooting.
Two police officers were also injured while responding to separate incidents in the Loop.
One officer’s arm was broken while the other officer’s injuries are unknown.
