NORTH CAROLINA — Brothers Pizzeria owner Mike Scotto di Frego was attacked Sunday following a fight between customers at his shop on West 4th Street.
Winston-Salem Police said that a fight broke out between five people as the pizza parlor was about to close at 2:30am Sunday.
“There were two different patrons with tables in there and somehow an argument started and then, from the argument, a fight began, and then the business owner tried to break things up and he was assaulted,” Winston-Salem Police Sgt. Kevin Bowers said.
Scotto di Frego became a target after he tried breaking up the fight between customers, he told FOX 8. Instead, he was punched several times in the head, before getting shoved and stomped on.
No one is in custody.
