VIDEO: Man stabbed to death outside supermarket in Morrisania

NEW YORK – Newly released video by police shows the moment a man was stabbed to death outside a supermarket in Morrisania.

A verbal confrontation broke out between two men who didn’t know each other, and quickly turned deadly in front of 206 E. 167th Street, according to NYPD officials.

Surveillance video released shows the two men fighting on the sidewalk throwing punches at each other — when the victim, identified as 33-year-old Jermaine Williams, suddenly realizes he was stabbed.

A person is then seen coming to Williams’ aid and trying to stop the bleeding.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Jermaine Williams unresponsive with a stab wound to the stomach.

He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe that the two men involved in the dispute did not know each other, and that the fight reportedly stemmed over a minor issue.

A $3,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the suspect in this homicide.
