Video shows housemaid beating, brutalizing 4-year-old child in Uganda

Distressing video shows a housemaid beating and brutalizing a 4-year-old girl inside her boss’ home in Uganda.

“A 35-year-old housemaid, who was captured on CCTV camera brutalising a four-year-old girl in Kikoko Zone, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District, has begged the girl’s family and Ugandans to forgive her.

Ms Precious Tumuhirwe, the torture suspect, who was transported to Kampala yesterday, said that the footage does not reflect exactly what happened in her boss’ house.

The suspect, who is currently detained at an undisclosed police station in Kampala, claimed that the child fell on her own and that she had not beaten the child even after she was captured on CCTV camera brutaliing the child.

She also told police that the child had defecated on herself and asserted that she had worked with the family for four years without prior issues.

“Four years working for a family without known issues portrays that I did not torture the child. I don’t agree with what the cameras revealed,” Ms Tumuhirwe said.

The incident reportedly happened around 1am on December 27.

After the torture video went viral on various social media platforms,Ms Tumuhirwe was intercepted on December 27 in Kabale and briefly detained at Kabale Regional Police Station before she was transferred to Kampala for further investigation.

Although she first denied any wrongdoing, she later admitted torture and begged for forgiveness.”
