ALABAMA – A video posted to social media on Monday shows the occupants of a truck yelling “white power!” in front of a Black Homewood resident’s home.
Felita Wilson, who posted the video on Facebook, said the incident unfolded outside her home at around 9:40pm on Monday.
Felita’s daughter, Jordan, said that when she and her boyfriend were getting out of their vehicle, the truck slowed down as it passed the house. She said that two white men in their twenties were driving up to the corner of Beckham and Barry to turn left towards Valley
Jordan said the men began shouting when they saw the couple.
According to Felita Wilson, the occupants of the truck yelled “White power! White power!” as they passed. The shouts can be heard on the video, and the truck can be seen in the distance.
A Homewood police spokesman said that as of this morning, the department has not received a report of the incident, but Wilson claims she intended to file a report later today.
