Video shows moments before deadly shooting in Buda, TX

BUDA, Texas – New details have been released in the deadly shooting on August 5 of a Buda teen.

On Monday, August 5, deputies were called after shots were fired in the 800 block of Shadow Creek Boulevard, near Windy Hill Road, shortly after 5:15 p.m.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a male juvenile dead with a gunshot wound.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve identified those involved and new video has been released showing the moments leading up to the shooting.

Video evidence showed a group of teens meeting up to face off in a fist fight. Moments later, shots are fired, you see a teen with a gun in hand before the group takes off running, and the shots continue.

“Upon getting to the area and just searching, they located a deceased body. They identified that deceased body as a juvenile male,” says Hays County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Alyssa Davenport.

On Wednesday, August 14, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office confirmed those involved in the shooting have been identified and will ensure that proper charges are filed.
