Video shows phony delivery driver attempting to break into Connecticut home

EAST HAVEN – Doorbell camera video shows a man posing as a delivery driver while attempting to break into a Connecticut home.

Police say the suspect knocked on the homeowner’s front door and told the man that he had a package that belonged to him.

The bogus delivery driver then took out a handgun and tried to enter the home while speaking with the homeowner, according to police.

Authorities said the suspect fled the scene after the homeowner pushed him away when he tried to enter the home.

East Haven police located the man and took him into custody on Friday.
