NEW ORLEANS, LA — A woman was shot and killed Monday in the Iberville area of the city, according to new video and reports.
According to the NOPD, officers were called to the 1400 block of Iberville Street just before 9:30am for shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found a female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was taken to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The victim’s identity will be released following an autopsy by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office.
