PHILADELPHIA — A 43-year-old Wingstop employee was grazed by a bullet Sunday evening after a dispute with two customers escalated into gunfire.
According to police, the shooting occurred around 5:20 p.m. at the Wingstop on the 7600 block of City Avenue. Investigators say two men entered the restaurant and argued with staff over marijuana use inside the store. The altercation turned violent when one of the men threw a bottle and fired a shot into the kitchen as they left, striking the female worker.
Philadelphia Police Inspector Michael Gormley said the employee declined hospitalization because the injury “was not serious at this time.”
Authorities released surveillance footage showing the two suspects along with their getaway car — a white sedan believed to be a late-model Volvo S60.
Suspect descriptions:
• Shooter: Black male with shoulder-length braided hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a “Clock” logo, black and white Jordan sneakers, and a black ball cap with a “K” logo.
• Second male: Black male with shoulder-length braided hair, wearing a black and blue hooded sweatshirt with “AMIRI” branding on the chest and back, and white sneakers.
Police say some members of the group were stopped nearby, but the shooter and an accomplice remain at large. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives or submit anonymous at 215.686.TIPS (8477).
