Woman dragged to the ground during purse snatching in Houston

A woman was dragged to the ground during a purse snatching attack on April 29 at the 900 block of Tidwell Road in Houston.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect responsible for the robbery by force.

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division released a video of the incident which occurred during the afternoon of Thursday, April 29 at the 900 block of Tidwell Road in Houston.

According to Houston Crime Stoppers, the female victim had just come from a bank and believes she was followed by the suspects.

The woman was apparently walking into a restaurant when she was approached by an unknown male, who forcibly snatched her purse, dragging her on the ground for several feet until she finally let go.

The suspect fled the scene in a four-door black Kia sedan, which was followed by a white Dodge Charger.

Both vehicles had paper plates that were fake.

The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a white hoodie and black pants.

A cash reward of up to $5000 is offered for information leading to the identification, charging and/or arrest of the suspects in this case.
