Worker arrested for throwing tool at dog in Peru

A worker was arrested for throwing a tool at a dog in Peru.

“Randolf Álvaro Duran Carrasco (42), a worker at a SEAL contractor company, embodied cruelty yesterday when, for no apparent reason, he threw a tool at the head of a dog named Layca.

A security camera recorded the cruel act. Layca was near the store where Randolf was apparently doing his job of delivering electricity bills. He turned around, threw the object and then only heartbreaking howls were heard. A woman came out of the store and asked him what he had done to her.

The Alto Misti police station was called and its officers arrested him in flagrante delicto.

Hope, the Association for the Protection and Welfare of the Environment and Animals, was alerted and immediately set up an organization to provide advice to the owner. Unfortunately, its representative Hania Rodriguez reported that the chances of Layca walking again are slim. “This man is a danger to society,” she said.

The case is already under the scrutiny of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. SEAL also spoke out and asked for the appropriate sanction to be imposed. The case has been initiated against its contracting company.”
