70-year-old Yeshiva school bus driver beaten and robbed in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY — A 70-year-old Yeshiva school bus driver was savagely beaten and robbed in Brooklyn, according to police and video.

Authorities said the attack took place in the bus parking lot for the Yeshiva ChaSan Sofer on 49th Street in Borough Park at around 6:00am Thursday.

Police said at least five suspects punched and kicked the bus driver in the face and body and stole cellphone chargers from the school buses.

The group then fled on foot in an unknown direction when another 70-year-old employee showed up carrying a thermos.

The Yeshiva school bus driver suffered cuts and bruises and was taken to Maimonides Hospital in stable condition.
